Safety Manager (m/w/d)

The safety and reliability of an aircraft as a complete system is a central aspect of product development. As a Safety Engineer for one of our client, you play a fundamental role in ensuring this.

Aufgaben
  • You will ensure continuous compliance with the Safety Management Handbook at all times.
  • You will develop, maintain, and actively promote the Safety Policy and Safety Objectives in close cooperation with management.
  • Your task is fostering and strengthening the principles of a “Just Culture” to support the continuous improvement of aviation safety across the organization.
  • You will facilitate hazard identification processes and conduct risk assessments and risk management activities.
  • You will monitor and follow up on risk mitigation measures defined in the Safety Action Plan, unless such actions are assigned to the independent monitoring function.
  • Your responsibility is to ensure that appropriate safety training is available and that it meets applicable regulatory and organizational standards.
  • You will provide professional advice on safety-related matters to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • You will initiate, coordinate, and follow up on internal investigations of occurrences, in collaboration with the independent monitoring function where applicable.
  • You will prepare and present periodic safety performance reports to the Safety Review Board.

Qualifikationen
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Management or a similar qualification
  • You have at least 4 years work experience in a similar role.
  • Working Knowledge of Part 21 Sub-Part J: Design Organisation Approval, Part 21 Sub-Part G: Production Organisation Approval and Part 145 Maintenance Organisation (refresher training can be provided).
  • Knowledge of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards and EU requirements for safety management (refresher training can be provided).
  • Willingness to contribute to and lead continued improvement initiatives.
  • An understanding and application of safety investigation techniques and risk management.
  • Knowledge of Human Factor and Human Performance capabilities and limitations is a plus.
  • Very good German and English skills round off your profile
